Angola covers 1,246,700 km² on the new Equal Earth world map, 0.9% of all land on Earth. It ranks 23rd of 237 countries worldwide and 7th in Africa. At 12° latitude Mercator only inflates Angola by about 5%, so the old and new maps largely agree on it, unlike the far north where Mercator's stretch is dramatic.
For scale, Angola is roughly the same size as Mali (1,240,192 km²).
You could fit 3 of Paraguay inside Angola.
