Suriname covers 163,820 km² on the new Equal Earth world map, 0.1% of all land on Earth. It ranks 93rd of 237 countries worldwide and 12th in South America. At 4° latitude Mercator only inflates Suriname by about 1%, so the old and new maps largely agree on it, unlike the far north where Mercator's stretch is dramatic.
For scale, Suriname is roughly the same size as Tunisia (163,610 km²).
You could fit 3 of Denmark inside Suriname.
