Colombia covers 1,138,910 km² on the new Equal Earth world map, 0.8% of all land on Earth. It ranks 26th of 237 countries worldwide and 4th in South America. At 4° latitude Mercator only inflates Colombia by about 0.47%, so the old and new maps largely agree on it, unlike the far north where Mercator's stretch is dramatic.
For scale, Colombia is roughly the same size as Ethiopia (1,104,300 km²).
You could fit 3 of Japan inside Colombia.
