Congo covers 342,000 km² on the new Equal Earth world map, 0.3% of all land on Earth. It ranks 65th of 237 countries worldwide and 27th in Africa. At 1° latitude Mercator only inflates Congo by about 0.02%, so the old and new maps largely agree on it, unlike the far north where Mercator's stretch is dramatic.
For scale, Congo is roughly the same size as Finland (338,145 km²).
You could fit 3 of Cuba inside Congo.
