Nicaragua covers 130,373 km² on the new Equal Earth world map, 0.1% of all land on Earth. It ranks 99th of 237 countries worldwide and 5th in North America. At 13° latitude Mercator only inflates Nicaragua by about 5%, so the old and new maps largely agree on it, unlike the far north where Mercator's stretch is dramatic.
For scale, Nicaragua is roughly the same size as Greece (131,957 km²).
You could fit 3 of Denmark inside Nicaragua.
